The active ingredient is DEET (N, N-diethyl-m-toluamide, CAS No 134-62-3, EC No 205-149-7, 95%), developed in the USA in 1946. In 2010, as a broad-spectrum repellent for soldiers. . To date, no more effective repellent than DEET has been developed.
Operating time – up to 5 hours.
DEET has been tested in numerous toxicological and dermatological studies. The World Health Organisation recommends the use of DEET preparations for travellers in areas rich in stinging insects.
