MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design introduced in 2002 by the US company Crye Precision in collaboration with the US Army Warrior Systems Centre (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The aim was to develop a highly adaptable camouflage pattern that works well in a variety of terrains and changing environmental situations. The MultiCam pattern, consisting of seven colours, seamlessly blends shades of green, brown and beige, allowing it to blend effectively with different backgrounds. In forest environments, it takes on green tones, while in desert areas it reflects brown and beige tones. In Central and Eastern European landscapes it is particularly effective in autumn and dry foliage. MultiCam has gained worldwide recognition and is widely used by many military forces and special forces. It was officially adopted by the US Army in 2010 for troops deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern, which is also available to civilians, has become a popular choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
